Assistant Principal's Page

My name is Brian Schoenherr and I’m excited to be the new Assistant Principal at North College Hill Middle School this year.  I would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year at NCH Middle School.  We will provide a safe environment with a caring and dedicated staff for our students.

Building strong relationships with students, families, community and staff that I serve is what I love to do most.  Therefore with the staff, I will help our students grow and develop academically and socially.  I look forward to listening to your ideas and vision of our school, by collaborating with each of you here at North College Hill Middle School.  As your Assistant Principal, I will strive to ensure that all families feel welcome and part of our wonderful school community, as we are in this journey together to mold our students to become productive members of society.  The genuine care and compassion shared between staff, students and families is what makes North College Hill Middle School such a special place,

Our Team will continue to embed critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration across all content areas with the use of conscious discipline.  We will continue working diligently to meet the diverse needs of our students through the use of the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS).  Staff will be looking at data multiple times throughout the year to make adjustments to make sure all students are learning the standards being taught to them.

Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) with Conscious Discipline will be used schoolwide to teach students skills they need to be respectful, responsible, and safe.  Restorative Practices will be used with Conscious Discipline, with high expectations to make sure North College Hill Middle School is a fun place of learning.

At North College Hill Middle School we will teach the whole child and focus on Social Emotional Learning everyday to instill the tools for self regulation and emotional wellness for our students. Students will learn to take responsibility for their actions and responses to other people’s behavior.  As staff, we will use a team approach to learning the personal needs of each student in our care, while also working with the families to determine how to best meet the needs of our students.

I feel honored to be part of something great and be a new member of the North College Hill Community.  I highly encourage you to contact me anytime with questions, concerns or to introduce yourself.

Thank you for your time,

Mr. Brian S. Schoenherr M.B.A, M.Ed.
