About Me:
Hello! My name is Mr. Giordano, but everyone here calls me Mr. Gio. I’ve been the NCH Middle School counselor since 2017 and I absolutely love my NCH family! I earned my master's degree in school counseling from Xavier University in 2015 then spent the next two years as a school counselor at LaSalle HS here in Cincinnati before switching to NCH MS. Before all that, I was a mental health specialist at Cincinnati Children’s hospital for 7 years. My job at NCH is to help our students with whatever they need in order to do their best. I pride myself on building positive relationships with students, families, and all stakeholders. I provide solution-focused and person-centered counseling for any problems our students might be facing – at school, home, or out in the community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out for help!

School Counseling Mission Statement:
The mission of the school counseling program at NCH Middle is to create growth in all students with a holistic focus on academics, social/emotional needs, and career development. The school counseling program provides a safe, caring, and respectful environment in which all students can achieve and become hard-working, positive citizens in their community and beyond. The school counseling program uses data-driven resources and collaborates with other professionals to provide the best support possible for students.
